Martin Holding DO, Registered Osteopath and B.E.S.T Practitioner. Martin graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 1982. Since graduation he has always had an interest in Cranial Osteopathy and its ability to help more chronic conditions. Martin has increasingly noticed that people’s health problems have become more complex, due to their lifestyles, diets, and nutritional status. Consequently, in 2002 he studied and purchased a B.E.S.T. System (needs link) that has enabled him to look at a person’s health in more detail and to make further recommendations that will help move them towards better health.

Martin practices traditional osteopathy but specialises in Cranial Osteopathy. This is a gentle method of releasing deeply held, chronic tensions in the body, which can be the result of a car accident, a bad fall, stress, bad posture, or a long term illness. The body is gently coaxed to unwind and relax in order to enhance the healing process.

This approach is suitable for all ages but is particularly beneficial with small babies where it can help to improve sleep and general well-being.

 

 

B.E.S.T System Health Screening

Bio Energetic Stress Testing is a state of the art, non-invasive method of screening, which can provide detailed information concerning the condition of the body.

The operator applies a small probe to the skin, on specific acupuncture points, in order to obtain an energetic reading related to that point which then appears on a computer screen.

A variety of information can be collected through this method. For example, a test can be performed which can indicate if there is an intolerance to any specific foods and give an indication of a person’s vitamin and mineral status. The results, which appear on the computer screen, can be printed out and taken away by the patient for analysis.

A Full Body Screen tests 48 points on the hands and feet, which are related to all the major organs and glands. This screening gives an energetic indication as to the condition of the body. The system can then be scanned to identify what the patient would need to take in order to be rebalanced. Homeopathic, herbal and nutritional remedies are checked for their usefulness. This system is of particular benefit as it uses the body’s natural ability to rebalance itself, rather than using more invasive or less natural methods.
